Hey everyone! If you haven’t lived under a rock for the past month, then you know Harry Styles recently released his debut album as a solo artist, and honestly, its genius!
Here is the track list
thoughts on the album
When I heard his first single, Sign of the Times, I honestly didn’t know what to think. I guess I thought that it would be like when he was in 1D, and I certainly did not expect his music to sound like rock. But honestly, I think it was an amazing choice because it’s his background and what he listened growing up.
Harry Styles’ album is so different from your typical songs that you hear now on the radio, and I love that because it sets it apart from everyone else. Honestly I wasn’t a big 1D fan, because I thought their music was basic. Don’t get me wrong, I did love the ones that were REALLY popular like, What makes you beautiful, Story of my life, and Drag me down. But that was basically it. I was never interested enough to hear their other songs.
I saw the ‘Behind the Album’ documentary on apple music and I was mesmerized with everything. Harry talked about how it was so great that he had a say in every decision related to his album, and I’m really happy that he gets to do that now. I got to see how he truly loves what he does, from writing songs and playing the guitar to performing his music.
Honestly I love every song in this album, but my faves are…
Kiwi is the type of song that makes you want to dance and sing along. The guitar riffs are amazing and I love every element about this song.
Sign of the Times
This song I didn’t expect to like so much, but it’s kind of mysterious and angelical at the same time, which makes me love it more.
This song is so pure and beautiful. The way I like to picture it, this story is about hope and how no matter what situation the couple may go through, they will always find each other.
Okay, so I’m a HUGE Taylor Swift fan, and I admit that I love the idea of them getting back together, which I know that it probably won’t happen ever, but still I love them. Plus, you can’t tell me the first line isn’t about Taylor: “Same lips red, same eyes blue”? Honey, please.
Ever Since New York
I saved my favorite one for last. I loooove this song and I also like to think that it’s about tay-tay. It’s so sweet but sad at the same time, and this is how I fell in love with this album and Harry Styles, because when you can literally FEEL everything that the song wants you to feel, then you know it’s a perfect album.
I really hope you enjoyed this post! Please leave your thoughts about this album in the comment section, I would love to know!
